The temple is enclosed by strong walls. This temple has four subsidiary shrines for the devotees. There are about 24 pillared halls and magnanimous domes supported by 400 columns. Each column has a distinct design and pattern, which makes it different from the other.What amazes most of the visitors is the changing color of these columns with every passing hour. A 48,000 sq. feet basement makes the architecture of these temples quite advance in time. This three storied temple took about fifty years of consistent hard work by thousands of sculptors and artisans. The Ranakpur Temples are dedicated to ‘Lord Adinath’ who was the first "Jain Teerthkar". This temple has over 84 Gods and Demi God’s idols placed across the the huge structure. The main temple of Lord Adhinath is surrounded by sub-temples or shrines of Lord Neminath, Lord Parshwanath and Lord Surya Narayan. Paravanath temple is also known as Patriyon Ka Mandir and is famous for beautifully carved windows studded with figures of Jain gods and maidens. The Surya God Temple is popular for the idol of Sun God and his chariot drawn by seven horses. Two bell weighing 108 kilograms each add to the glory of the assembly hall of these temples.
